Who We Are

Sarah Hawley

Sarah Hawley started playing piano when she was 7 years old and later started cello at 10 years old. She grew up in Arlington, Texas. Growing up, she was in Orchestra, Jazz Band on piano, Colorguard, and participated in piano competitions. After graduation, she attended the University of Texas at Arlington as Music Education major, specializing on cello. This is currently her 10th year in education, 8th year in FISD, and 7th year at Roach. DUring her time at Roach, the orchestras have received 'sweepstakes' trophies from UIL for Varsity, Non-Varsity, and Sub-Non Varsity Orchestra. She is an active member of TMEA and TODA. Mrs. Hawley performs at local churches, teaches private cello lessons, and continues to play at home for enjoyment. Currently living in Aubrey, Mrs. Hawley is married to her “high school sweetheart” and has 3 cats - Artemis, Luna, and Chi.

Chassity Rauscher

Associate Orchestra Director

Chassity Rauscher has over 15 years of experience as a passionate music educator in public schools. Her musical journey began at age 11 when she picked up the cello, later adding saxophone to her repertoire. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Texas Tech University, studying under renowned instructors and performing with chamber groups, the TTU Symphony Orchestra, and the Goin’ Band from Raiderland. Chassity began her teaching career in Katy ISD before expanding to Frisco and Denton ISDs. She currently teaches at Roach Middle School in Frisco ISD and offers private cello lessons. Under her guidance, her orchestras have earned numerous awards, including the 2024 Citation of Excellence. Beyond her professional life, Chassity balances raising four children with her husband, John Rauscher, the Director of Orchestras at Pearson MS. Her dedication to music education continues to inspire and nurture the next generation of musicians.

Paulina Joslin

Harp Instructor

Ms. Delgadillo has been a musician as long as she can remember, starting on piano at age 5 and harp at age 11 when she joined the FISD Harp Program. She continued her musical studies at the University of North Texas, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Harp Performance under the tutelage of Dr. Jaymee Haefner. She went on to get her Master’s Degree in Harp Performance at the University of Southern California, under the tutelage of JoAnn Turovsky. During her time at university, she played in various award-winning groups, including UNT’s harp ensemble, the Harpbeats!
